What makes a CV template ATS-friendly?

  • One column. Multi-column layouts can be read out of order, mixing your dates and job titles.
  • Standard headings. "Experience", "Education" and "Skills" are what parsers look for.
  • Real text, not images. Icons, charts and text inside graphics are often skipped entirely.
  • Simple dates. A consistent format like "Mar 2022 – Present" on every role.

All eight Cooked templates follow these rules. The template only changes how your CV looks; the words come from tailoring it to each job. Read how to tailor a CV.
