Questions

How is the ATS score calculated?

60% comes from how many of the job's key terms appear in your CV, and 40% from 16 format checks that applicant tracking systems and recruiters reward. Real ATS software varies, but these basics apply everywhere.

Is the ATS checker free?

Yes. You can check up to 5 CVs a day here with no account. Your CV is only used to calculate the score and isn't saved. If you want Cooked to rewrite your CV for the job, that's free to try too.

Which files can I upload?

PDF, Word (.docx) or plain text, up to 5 MB, or paste your CV as text. Scanned images of a CV can't be read, so use a text-based PDF.

Why does my score differ from other ATS checkers?

Every checker, and every real ATS, weighs things differently. This one matches your CV against the specific job's keywords, which is what most ATS filters and recruiters search for. Use it to find gaps, not as a guarantee.

What's a good ATS score?

Aim for 75 or higher. Above that, focus on making sure the keywords you add are honest and backed by your experience.
